A Big and Bold Red made by Big Head Vineyards. A blend of Cabernet Franc (72%) & Merlot (28%).

Both grape varieties have undergone Apasimento method, meaning drying the grapes after harvest to get more concentrated levels of sugar. Aged in a combination of 2nd filled Moldovan and French Oak.

On the nose it is very ripe, fragrant, and candied with herbal, subtly savory undertones, featuring dark fruits alongside hints of toasted almond and a faint jalapeño heat. Palate is dry, rich, and mouth-filling with grippy tannins and a lively structure.

Dominant fruit flavors are mostly blackberry, boysenberry, and black currant. A subtle green touch leaning toward black currant leaf, smooth oak integration, and lingering hints of caramel and vanilla on the finish.
